Standard Operating Procedure: Hot Swap
- AOpen Pump B Suction: Flood the spare pump with liquid to protect the mechanical seals.
- BStart Pump B Motor: Spin up the spare pump against its closed discharge valve.
- COpen Pump B Discharge: Establish forward flow through the spare pump.
- DClose Pump A Discharge: Pinch off the bad pump to prevent fluid from slamming backward.
- EStop Pump A Motor: Shut down the vibrating equipment.
- FClose Pump A Suction: Fully isolate the bad pump so maintenance can safely pull the casing.
