Restart Swap Read Procedure

Standard Operating Procedure: Hot Swap

  1. AOpen Pump B Suction: Flood the spare pump with liquid to protect the mechanical seals.
  2. BStart Pump B Motor: Spin up the spare pump against its closed discharge valve.
  3. COpen Pump B Discharge: Establish forward flow through the spare pump.
  4. DClose Pump A Discharge: Pinch off the bad pump to prevent fluid from slamming backward.
  5. EStop Pump A Motor: Shut down the vibrating equipment.
  6. FClose Pump A Suction: Fully isolate the bad pump so maintenance can safely pull the casing.
