Notes:

  1. Visual Studio Marketplace shows the total installs for an extension. I simply took the total installs at the end of the day, and subtracted it from the total installs at the beginning of the day, for each day.
  2. While Copilot is tightly integrated into VS Code by default, it does not count as an installation until you enable it for the first time: My VS Code IDE does not have it installed when I first open it: https://ibb.co/rKd6tsxy
  3. Discourse API lets you paginate through all of the posts in Cursor's support forum starting from the most recent: https://forum.cursor.com/latest.json?no_definitions=true&order=default&page=0
