The 'gaining steam' read tracks. Codex finally feels like a real agent, not fancy autocomplete. What I keep waiting for is durable project memory across sessions, not a fatter context window. Until that ships, the teams I know still lean on Claude Code or Cursor for long-running work and use Codex for one-shot tasks.
